MY ART FUELED RAPPIN' SUNFLOWER SONG (FOR ME & ALL BLOCKED ARTISTS!! )

February 28, 2016 Jocelyn Kadach

(Rap Lyrics adapted from Fort Minor's Where'd You Go)

Where'd My Art Fuel go?
I miss it so
Seems like I've been blocked forever
My Muse has been gone for so long

I said, "Some days I feel like shit"
Some days “I wanna quit, and not be An Artist for a bit"
I don't understand why My Art Muse is sometimes gone
I get along but the Dessert always feel so dry and long
And, I find myself wondering around kicking sand
But JC's voice always helps me when I feel so alone
And I tell Him, I want you to know it's a little fucked up
That I'm stuck here waitin', at times debatin'
Tellin' you that I've had it with this Full-time Art career

Me and the rest of my friends here singing
Where'd My Art Fuel go?
I miss it so
Seems like I've been blocked forever
My Muse has been gone for so long

JC, please call me back home to Who I really Am
You know the place where I really create and live,
I used to paint all night long
Used to have a little party in my Art Studio in Carmel-by-the-Sea
Sometimes dancin' next door at Barmel with my Monterey Peninsula homegirls
--while I'm covered in Encaustic Wax and Acrylic Paints

But now, My Art Fuel only stops by every once in a while,
Shit, I find myself lookin at my big white canvas
Just fillin' my time talkin with Boys,
But really I just end up tellin’ those Boys to Go Away and Live Me Alone
Because I'm doin' just fine and I plan to keep it that way,
They can call me but I won't be home,
Cuz no one is ever good enough...
And I tell Him, I want you to know it's a little fucked up
That I'm stuck here waitin', at times debatin'
Tellin' you that I've had it with this Full-time Art career

Where'd My Art Fuel go?
I miss it so
Seems like I've been blocked forever
My Muse has been gone for so long

Tired of sittin' and hatin' and makin' these excuses why I'm not makin Art and why I’m scarin’ boys away,
For a while My Muse is not around, and I'm feeling so useless and heartless,
It seems one thing has been true all along,
I'm so rebellious when I'm not painting, when I'm not sewing,
when I'm not makin’ a whole lot of mess in my studio
I thought I've had it with my art career,
But It came back today, and I'm so happy that I'm singing this song...
In the Middle of my Little Mess, I forget how Big I’m Blessed

Where'd you go?
I missed you so,
Seems like I've been blocked forever
My Muse has been gone for so long
Thank you for taking this Rebel Artist back home!
Thank you for coming back today, and I'm so happy that I'm singing this song...
In the Middle of my Little Mess, I forget how Big I’m Blessed
