JOCELYN'S ART STUDIOS

Cleaning my work-table after completing a painting makes me happy, especially when my orchids are in bloom and I have fresh cut flowers from my backyard garden.

My Encaustic Work Table

My Encaustic Work Table

My Encaustic work table when it was clean, and when I only had one pancake griddle to heat-up my wax, I now have two pancake griddles - one for encaustic paints, and the other one for making my own medium. I shared my steps on how to make encaustic medium on Instagram.

Sacred Space

Sacred Space

I unwind the past day, starting from now and looking back, moment by moment. I gather in all the goodness and light, in gratitude. I attend to the shadows and what they say to me, praying silently, seeking healing, courage, forgiveness. (From Sacred Space)

Old book pages in my art journal

Old book pages in my art journal

My art journal is a place where I try a new technique, practice my handwriting, and to play and experiment without (too much) self-judgement. It is my safe container to express my feelings, thoughts, and fears. It is is a space for questions that may not have answers (those questions then turn into meditative prayers) .

Sand, seashells, cafe string lights and candles

All of these design elements give my studio a dreamy ambiance... I often light my candles when I'm reflecting about my past day or about my life in general...
