BEACH HOME & GARDEN DECOR
I learned how to sew in 2011, with the intention of sewing my son's patches on his scout uniform. I was so excited about learning how to sew that I made a LOT of pillowcases. That's when I opened my Etsy shop . I created and sold beach home and garden decor items such as nautical style striped-pillow cases, tote bags, and beach art items made with driftwood, seashells, starfish and other found objects. I also sold these items through consignments at a couple of shops in Carmel-by-the-Sea California.
While my primary focus is creating mixed media paintings, I knew that I'll always have the itch to design beachy apparel and decor items. For this reason, I named my company Lighthouse Art & Design. With the opening of my gallery and studio in Carmel-by-the-Sea, I am happy to announce that I have resumed making beach decor items to sell :)
